Medical Intuition: Is it real and does it work?
Dr. Burk is a musculoskeletal teleradiologist and integrative physician specializing in MRI, medical hypnosis, dreamwork and EFT. He was co-founder of www.dukeintegrativemedicine.org, a founding board member of the American Board of Scientific Medical Intuition and former board president of www.rhine.org. His book, Let Magic Happen: Adventures in Healing with a Holistic Radiologist, was published in 2012. Dr. Burk co-facilitates a weeklong experiential workshop at The Monroe Institute twice a year on Medical Intuition and Symbolic Disease with medical intuitive Winter Robinson, MEd. Modern fascination with medical intuition, the ability to make a diagnosis without history, physical examination or laboratory studies, can be traced back to Edgar Cayce. However, despite an abundance of encouraging anecdotes that continue to accumulate to the present day from a growing number of medical intuitives, the scant scientific research to date is inconclusive. In this presentation, clinical case reports based on work with numerous medical intuitives will be reviewed along with the available scientific literature.
